Who Am I?

Hello! My name is Joey. I was born in Korea, moving to California as a child. Since then, I’ve spent my time more or less in the Los Angeles area, apart from my years in New York for my bachelor’s.

Over a long period of practice, I’d like to think I’ve developed good eyes for framing and composing, ears for editing and cutting, and a hand for prose and copy. I value my creative technical skills as much as I do an understanding of how people communicate; these ideas are what drive my broader professional goals.

Talk to me about cars (or if you’d rather a short conversation, don’t), history, and defense economics. My greatest idols are Lee Iacocca, the man who reinvented American automotive advertising, and the founders of PBS.

I only do calculated risks. And calculated risks means even the worst outcome is something that I can cope with.”
